100 Years at Craigavad

In 2026, The Royal Belfast Golf Club will celebrate a proud milestone: 100 years at Craigavad.

This centenary offers a unique opportunity to reflect with pride on our shared history and to celebrate the generations of Members who have helped shape Royal Belfast into the Club we know and love today. From its early days at Kinnegar and Carnalea, the Club found its enduring home at Craigavad almost a century ago.

Designed by the great Harry S Colt, the course at Craigavad has stood the test of time, offering both challenge and charm in equal measure. The ongoing course development works will ensure Colt’s legacy is preserved while raising standards for future generations.

More than a place to play golf, Craigavad has been — and continues to be — a gathering place for friends, families, and fellow Members to share moments both competitive and convivial.

To mark the occasion, we’re planning a week of special golfing and social events in September 2026, celebrating not just a century at Craigavad, but the vibrant Membership and community spirit that make Royal Belfast so special.

We look forward to sharing this historic moment with you all.

Afternoon & Private Teas

Whether you’re gathering to celebrate or to remember, Royal Belfast offers a carefully prepared tea service to suit the occasion. Our afternoon teas are a pleasure in their own right — a chance to slow down, catch up, and enjoy the comfort of the clubhouse. For those marking a life well lived, we provide a quiet, attentive service.
