Craigavad House

Acquired by The Royal Belfast Golf Club in 1925, Craigavad House has long been central to life at the Club, welcoming members, guests and visitors throughout the year. Set across two floors, the clubhouse combines traditional character with modern comfort — welcoming lounges, locker rooms, bars and dining rooms,  and views across Belfast Lough offer a calm, elegant space to unwind, entertain guests, and enjoy the hospitality Royal Belfast is known for.

The Club

At Royal Belfast, history isn’t simply preserved — it’s lived every day. Since 1881, the Club has been shaped by a deep respect for the game and the quiet hospitality for which Royal Belfast is known. Set at Craigavad on the shores of Belfast Lough, it offers a peaceful setting for golf, dining and time spent together — the welcome on arrival, the conversations after a round, the character of Craigavad House, and the enduring sense of belonging that defines club life.

From the first tee to the clubhouse bar, to a quiet evening on the terrace by the water, Royal Belfast offers more than a round of golf — it’s a lasting connection to one of Irish golf’s most historic clubs, for visitors from Belfast, across Northern Ireland, or further afield.
