Arrival

The day begins on the approach along Station Road, where Belfast Lough opens ahead and the pace of the city falls away. Bearing right at the fork, the route passes the 15th and 18th holes before reaching Craigavad House.

Check In and Warm Up

Check in at the Pro Shop, just beyond Craigavad House, where our Club Professional, Andrew Ferguson, and the team will help with final preparations. Two putting greens and a short iron range are available to warm up — arrive at the first tee at least ten minutes before your starting time.

The Round

Designed in 1925 by Harry S. Colt with W.A. Murray, the course asks golfers to plan carefully from the tee. Memorable moments include the tightly bunkered par-3 4th, the out-of-bounds-lined par-4 8th, and the 408-yard par-4 9th along Belfast Lough — the most difficult hole on the course.

Craigavad House

After the final putt, Craigavad House — built in 1852 — offers a place to change, relax and enjoy the hospitality Royal Belfast is known for, with a drink in the bar or a meal in Bistro 1881 to let the round settle into memory.
