A Warm Welcome From Around the World
International visitors are welcomed at The Royal Belfast Golf Club, whether travelling from North America, Europe, Asia or elsewhere on the island of Ireland. A little preparation helps you make the most of a day at Ireland’s oldest golf club.
Where Royal Belfast Fits
Just a 20-minute drive from Belfast city centre, the Club works well as a first round after arrival, a central experience mid-trip, or a final round before departure — convenient for visitors staying in Belfast, Holywood, Bangor or the wider North Down area.
Enquire and Prepare in Advance
Contact the Club ahead of your visit to discuss availability, group arrangements and any hire equipment or caddie requests (caddies require at least 48 hours’ notice). On arrival, check in at the Pro Shop, just beyond Craigavad House, where our Club Professional, Andrew Ferguson, and the team will help with final preparations; arrive at the first tee at least ten minutes before your starting time.
Dress Code
Royal Belfast asks visitors to observe smart, traditional dress standards on the course and in the clubhouse — see our full dress code guide for details.
After Your Round
Craigavad House and Bistro 1881 offer a warm setting for food and drink after golf, and the Pro Shop stocks Royal Belfast crested clothing as a keepsake of your visit.
